I have a feeling the gloves, axe, and shield are connected in some way...the axe and shield have glowing red parts like the hands...as if they were a unique set of weapons/armor to be acquired. Or perhaps it's just a weapon set that changes the look of your gloves when you equip them...that would be cool
Oh and that armor she's wearing looks like it's dervish armor...it's got things hanging down that swing around just like all the dervish armor we know of does...I would bet money it's a dervish...she just happens to be weilding an axe and shield (perhaps because the axe and shield are special and can be used cross profession)
not sure if she's a hero....armor looks kinda plain aside from that special stuff...the armor looks like the kind of stuff a player character would wear. Hero armor always looks better and more detailed.
Another thing there looks like there's either a player wearing that vanguard armor (the new vanguard armor like in the trailer) or a vanguard hero...fighting a destroyer (my guess at their name). I hope we can get some of that armor because it looks kick ass.

Looking at the new armors posted and because of the mask and hands I would say she is a ritualist.

However, the leg and chest armor say Dervish. Think the mask might be unique too, as it looks more like something a ritualist would wear, but its pretty clear she's a Dervish.

Gloves are part of special armor i guess.
I have found screens of fire, earth, crystal and frost gloves (like those on that dervish) si i guess it's unique.

The image containing the gloves is not faked as far as the gloves are concerned. If you go through the official trailer they have released about 3/4 the way through you will see the dervish and if you go frame by frame you will see the gloves glowing just like in the picture shown.

And as pointed out, there is no reason the Dervish in the latest Preview video is a Hero/NPC. It could be a second player (read developer) who was also taking a video feed and was in a party with the party leader.

Actualy, getting faction points is increadibly dificult for me. I have 18,000 ATM, and the only way i know of getting them quickly is to constanly redo that Arena quest. (Where you kill off a buncha criminals and get 400 faction points.) Sadly, I can't seem to be able to do that in hard mode, I keep getting my butt kicked. So at current rate it's gonna take me a good 4-7+ days of grinding (which I hate, btw.) just to be able to get 100k faction points and the new skill. (And that's just level ONE, mind you. if I actualy want the skill to be good/great, I'll have to waste probably a month or more getting so many points.)
Though I agree with you on the sunspear part. I took my Dervish through the entire compain and ended up with rank 8 or 9 (currently 9, but I think it's gone up once since hard mode came out.) without any grinding and ended up with that. Which makes the PVE skill awesome.

In cutscene's you only see the party leader (the Dervish here) and the NPC's.
And hero's don't wear headpieces.

That isn't a cutscene, she's obviously fighting something or just casting a spell. You never know, maybe heroes will wear their head piece in GW:EN.

Either that's of a hero and players are now able to get the same armor as heroes, or it's of an actual player: http://i183.photobucket.com/albums/x...g?t=1184977165
